The following filk poems talk about the scincerity and depth of love between two people. Each is written as if it were spoken by one person to his lover or her lover. Some folk poems assert the strength and depth of while others imply intense feeling by reminiscing about the events in the relationship between two lovers.
Bài ca dao sau mô tả một người đã nhớ nhung người yêu của mình như thế nào :
This folk poem expressies how much a person misses his or her lover :
1. Núi cao chi lắm núi ơi !
Núi che mặt trời Núi lấp người yêu !
Oh mountain, you are so high that
you hide the sun and hide my beloved.
2. Đôi ta như lúa mới nhen
Như trăng mới mọc, như đèn mới khêu.
We two are like the fire which has just been lit,
the moon which has just risen, and the flame of a lamp which has just been poked up.
3. Mình về ta chẳng cho về
Ta nắm lấy áo ta để bài thơ
Câu thơ ba chữ rành rành
Chữ " trung", chữ "hiếu", Chữ "tình" là ba.
Chữ trung" thì để phần cha
Chữ "hiếu" phần mẹ, đôi ta chữ "tình"
I wouldn't let you leave me on your returning home.
I would like to hold your dress on which i will inscribe a poem.
The poem evidently has three words : " loyalty ", " priety" and " love".
The first word is reserved for our father;
the second one for our mother and the third one for us.

Marriage is a commitment to life,

And there may come times when one partner is heartbroken or ailing,
